My textile work has inspired me to use the landscape and my body. This is how I created the piece "Weaving the Landscape," a 6-minute video. Seeing a group of dry logs submerged in Lake Atitlán seems almost poetic to me, as it resembles a weaving machine, a tool I use daily to organize threads before weaving. This is where the process of working with red, white, black, and yellow fabrics arose, as a tribute to the four colors of corn.
