Bogdan Perzyński is a Polish contemporary artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans installation, video, sound, photography, interactive systems, sensors, and computational media. Treating an artwork as an evolving organism rather than a fixed object, he explores the relationships among technology, architecture, ecology, communication, and human behavior. Perzyński has worked with installation since 1978 and began incorporating video, sound, sensors, and body-based interactivity in 1990. His work has been presented internationally, and he is a professor and co-founder of the Transmedia Area at the University of Texas at Austin. He lives and works in Austin and is represented in Dallas by Liliana Bloch Gallery.
