Liliana Bloch Gallery is proud to present a new solo exhibition by Dallas based artist Sally Warren.”Picking up the trash of others at a rural gas stop seemed a small act of salvage that felt good to me in that post-election moment. I collected the consumed and the abject, no fragment of litter too small or too dirty. Laid out in the studio, I found a poignancy in the empty wrappers, crinkled from touch, non-biodegradable evidence of our passage.”Sally Warren divides her time between Dallas, TX and Port Townsend, WA. She earned her MFA from SMU in 2003 and her BA at UT Austin. She has shown at The MAC, the Dallas Contemporary, Brookhaven, Mountainview, and Tarrant County Colleges, SMU Pollock Gallery and The Free Museum, TCU Moudy Gallery, and Liliana Bloch Gallery.
