Antonio Lechuga is a Dallas-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice brings together art, architecture, design, storytelling, and social history. Working with painting, sculpture, installation, found materials, and sewn cobija textiles, he examines his experience as a Tejano artist and the continued erasure of Mexican American histories in Texas. His layered compositions explore migration, labor, neighborhood change, cultural memory, care, and resilience. Lechuga has exhibited at the McNay Art Museum, Blaffer Art Museum, Ballroom Marfa, Various Small Fires, and art institutions throughout Dallas. His work is held in the permanent collection of the Dallas Museum of Art, and he is represented by Liliana Bloch Gallery.
