Originally commissioned and produced by ArtPace San Antonio. Groomed is a multimedia exhibition that conveys the effects of machismo within Norteño culture. Through sculpture, photo, video and performance, Villalobos displays nuance and proud connection to heritage, withstanding the historic And violent undercurrents of homophobia that exist within it.
